Congregant Voices on Learning and Worship

Once again I want to thank you for the wonderful job of being our temporary rabbi for the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur holidays. You were exciting, friendly and knowledgeable, all qualities wanted in a rabbi.  The congregants I have spoken with, and there were many, agreed that this was the best High Holy Day experience they have had in many years.   Once again, thank you very much for all your help.  Dr. Steven M. Brenner, President, Rutland Jewish Center

C. joins me in expressing to you how much we enjoyed attending Yom Kippur services at ICM.  Services were meaningful, innovative, thought-provoking and participatory--to borrow your phrase services were “user friendly.”  It has been a very long time since I attended a service without looking at my watch.   C + I M

We believe that the Shabbat service (making it so inclusive of Carolina’s friends and family from Venezuela) was the centerpiece of the weekend.  You made the service festive and meaningful and  our guests were happy to be here.  RE

On the first day of Rosh Hashanah I had the pleasure of attending services at your synagogue.  I want you to know how much I appreciate the warm welcome I received.  I appreciated and admired the sermon you delivered on God writing in a book, or more accurately, not writing in a book and sealing our fates on Yom Kippur.  It was refreshing and reassuring.  I, and everyone around me, found that you had “hit the nail on the head!”  MC

Thank you for your tireless patience, devotion, enthusiasm, organization---You are a gift to our congregation and community.  Thank you for all your guidance, love and support with R and us. Sincerely, R + K M

I wish to acknowledge how you have welcomed us to the sanctuary, providing a wonderful sense of humor that has been refreshing.  Your demonstration of courage, faith, compassion and concern is a lesson in life for all of us.  ICM has provided  J. and me with religious, spiritual and social opportunities that reflect your contributions.  We hope to share many more years with you.  H + J M

There are very few “mensches” in the world like you.  Many do their job

well. . . very few share their inner light while doing it.  We are blessed (truly) to have you as our rabbi.  Know that you were the key for this memorable weekend.  JK
